Concrete Additives

We provide advanced concrete solutions enhanced with high-performance additives, including macro-synthetic fibers, steel fiber reinforcement, and strength accelerators.

These technologies improve durability, reduce cracking, increase structural performance, and accelerate project timelines for both commercial and industrial applications.

Macro Fiber

Bonded Concrete Inc. is continuing to enhance the production of great concrete with Macro-Synthetic Concrete. Macro Synthetic Fiber are the new generation of synthetic fibers, creating an alternative to traditional lightly reinforced concrete slab.

The fiber concrete enhances all concrete from concrete sidewalks to concrete bridge decks, designed to last 50 to 100 years. The fiber material blended into our concrete increases the concrete’s structural reliability and controls cracking caused by dry shrinkage, and reduces the permeability of concrete, which reduces flow of water through the concrete.

Many people who are looking for a superior structural concrete mix might wonder, “Why use fibers?” at Bonded Concrete we know that the use of fibers is estimated to save time and reduce the overall cost of the project. The use of fiber is also more efficient than the use of steel, which can be very costly. According to the American Concrete Institute’s report on fiber reinforced concrete, added fibers in concrete
enhance “the tensile strength, compressive strength, elastic modulus, crack resistance, crack control, durability, fatigue life, resistance-to-impact and abrasion, shrinkage, expansion, thermal characteristics, and fire resistance.”

Strength Accelerator

Strength Accelerator is a high-performance solution designed to meet the demands of fast-track and emergency repair projects.

This product enables customers to repair critical infrastructure such as mainline pavement, warehouse lanes, and high-traffic areas with minimal downtime, allowing surfaces to be placed back into service the very same day.

Our strength-accelerated concrete designs incorporate Sika® Rapid-1, a proven admixture that promotes rapid strength gain without compromising long-term durability or performance. This approach helps reduce operational disruptions, improves project efficiency, and delivers a reliable, long-lasting repair solution for time-sensitive applications.

Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Steel Fiber reinforcement is used as an alternative to conventional rebar reinforcement as well as wire mesh.

Steel fiber reinforcement will deliver a concrete floor system with less cracking, greater impact resistance and overall increased durability, while saving days in the construction process.

We use the American Concrete Institute Committee’s 544 as our guideline in designing steel fiber concrete slabs in order to meet required building codes. Our supplier will also redesign conventional reinforced concrete slabs to steel fiber reinforced slabs at no additional cost.

Project Example

  • 380,000 sq. ft.
The use of steel fiber allowed the joint space to be increased to 30 ft. with no cracking.

  • 35,000 sq. ft.
The use of steel fiber reinforcement created a much greater impact and abrasion resistance floor system.

  • Floor repairs and replacement
The use of steel fiber reinforcement created a floor system which has out doubled the life cycle of the previous conventionally reinforced slab.
